Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A 45-year-old Lawrence woman discovered a $2,391 John Deere mower taken Sunday from her home in the 800 block of Lyon Street, according to a police report.
  • A Johnson County Community College student who lives in Lawrence had a $2,500 laptop computer taken between 10:15 p.m. Tuesday and 12:15 a.m. Wednesday from his home in the 2300 block of Ranch Way, according to a report.

Injury accidents

  • A 33-year-old Lawrence woman was hospitalized Monday morning after a three-vehicle wreck at Fourth and Maine streets.

Shari L. Hazelton was at a stop sign on eastbound Fourth Street at 7:44 a.m. when a westbound car, driven by 32-year-old Jason S. Blick of Lawrence, failed to yield to a pickup truck that was southbound on Maine, according to a report.

The vehicles collided, and Hazelton was transported by ambulance for treatment at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Police cited Blick for failing to yield, according to a report.
