Tool of death
To the editor:
In his letter on Nov. 7, Mr. Johns suggested, in reference to the flyover of a B-2 bomber at Saturday’s football game, that parents “point up at the sky and say to their children, that is a symbol of our freedom.” I wish the B-2 was just a symbol like our flag is a symbol, but it’s not. It’s a machine imagined, designed and used to kill and destroy. It is a symbol and a tool of death. Hard as it may be to tell them, children should know that, too.
