To the editor:

My operatives have informed me that a professor in an environmental studies class at Kansas University announced that the Bush administration has removed 200 million acres from consideration for wilderness status, thus opening them for exploitation. Someone in Health Care Administration told the class we are spending billions on prisons and the never-ending war on drugs, but people who want to control their addictions still can’t get treatment when they need it. A professor in political science reportedly said we are spending more than $100 billion to destroy and rebuild Iraq while Americans go without health insurance, schools fire teachers and cities lay off fire and police personnel. These are obscenities if I ever have heard any! Senator Wagle, where are you when we need you?!
