To the editor:

We would like to give our thoughts on the lights concerning the Heritage Baptist Church flag. We live in the neighborhood also, and we are so proud to see it all lit up and thank the congregation for putting it up. It is placed where the turnpike travelers can see it as they pass by through the night. It can only warm their hearts.

So many Americans gave their lives that we should all feel very proud to see it displayed so beautifully. The lights are pointed up and should not be a bother to anyone. We hope many folks from Lawrence will drive out and admire our flag, and feel as proud as we do. The flag belongs to all of us.
