Silent sirens
To the editor:
I didn’t hear any warning sirens inside the Plum Tree restaurant on South Iowa Street. I didn’t hear any in the parking lot after someone came in to tell us there was a problem. After I got home, I didn’t hear any sirens while I was outside nor, needless to say, inside (near Lawrence High School). I think we have a real problem. The old sirens worked. The new ones are going to get someone killed. How about some attention to this problem?
