The Eighth Annual Mutt ‘n’ Strutt will be Saturday morning at Sunflower School, 2621 Inverness Drive. Funds from the charity walk will go to the Lawrence Humane Society.

The event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the actual walk at 9 a.m.

Participants are encouraged to bring friends and pets, or can walk in memory of a pet. A minimum $25 pledge is required. Pledge forms are available at area veterinarians’ offices, some downtown merchants, Petco, 3115 Iowa, and the Humane Society, 1805 E. 19th St.

Mayor David Dunfield will kick off the event, which also features informational booths, local vendors, giveaways, contests, refreshments and prizes. The Rev. Charles Polifka from St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church also will be there to bless animals.
