Burglaries and thefts reported
¢ A $1,000 jade ring, a gold necklace with a scorpion pendant and a pearl necklace were among the items taken from a home in the 600 block of East 1900 Road in Baldwin.
The items, worth $3,100, belonged to a 60-year-old woman. She told police the incident took place while she was out of town between Feb. 22 and March 11. There was no forced entry.
¢ A 23-year-old Kansas University student told police somebody bent a screen window frame at her apartment and took her $1,500 laptop computer.
It happened between 12:15 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 2600 block of West Sixth Street, according to a report.
¢ A 40-year-old Lawrence woman is missing her Toyota sport-utility vehicle and her handicapped parking tag after they were taken in the 2000 block of East 19th Street. It happened between 9:45 a.m. Saturday and 5:30 p.m. Sunday, according to a report.
