Lawrence rally to show support for troops
A rally to show support for American military personnel will be at 5 p.m. today in front of the Douglas County Courthouse, 11th and Massachusetts streets.
Representatives from the Lawrence American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars posts will be the speakers.
If war with Iraq starts, antiwar protesters plan a peace rally for 6 p.m. at the courthouse. If war breaks out at night, the rally will be at 6 p.m. the next night.
