Tax protest
To the editor:
I just looked at my new tax valuation for my home online. What does the county think it is doing ?
People, we need to fight the county on this, and we have to do it now! Everyone who thinks their valuations are too high needs to fill out the forms and fight the county and win on this matter; enough is enough.
Douglas County wants its inspectors and other employees to drive around in new SUVs, and it wants us to pay for it. Well I’m not going to anymore.
I would like an attorney to start a Proposition 13 for the people of Douglas County, like they did in California. Then let the county inspectors ride bicycles to work.
