The Lawrence area will continue to be in a severe thunderstorm watch through 6 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

By 4:15 p.m., the 6News offices as Seventh and New Hampshire streets in downtown Lawrence had recorded 0.17 of an inch of rain for the afternoon.

Janssen said that the overnight low will drop to 61, with skies staying mostly cloudy.

"There will be a noticeable change tomorrow," Janssen said. "The humidity has been running 60 to 70 percent. But tomorrow, we're going to look at about 40 percent."
