Topeka ? A southwest Kansas farm has been ruled out as the source of the monkeypox outbreak in the upper Midwest, state health and livestock officials said Friday.

Inspectors found that prairie dogs at J.W. Vanderpool’s farm near Meade were healthy and free of monkeypox infection. The visit was done for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
