RE: Your June 6 letter regarding Lawrence Development Code

Dear Jane:

Thank you for your letter of June 6, 2003 concerning the proposed Lawrence Development Code. Please find enclosed a copy of the current timetable for review and consideration of this document. Your active participation in the upcoming public meetings providing comment opportunities on the proposed Development Code is encouraged. I believe that if the City Commission adopts a Development Code which includes land use regulation on property titled to the State of Kansas and the University of Kansas, it will be because such regulation is legally appropriate and the balanced interests of both the University and the Lawrence community are best served by such regulation.

Again, we look forward to your participation.

Respectfully,
(signature)
Mike Wildgen
City Manager
