The Kansas University libraries named Katherine M. Crowe, Lawrence, as the recipient of the 2003 Rubinstein-Mason Award.

Crowe, a graduating senior in history, worked as a student assistant in the KU libraries. She has been accepted into the master of library science programs at the University of Texas at Austin and Emporia State University.

Crowe is a Lawrence High School graduate.

The award includes a cash prize of $1,000 to support graduate study in librarianship. It is funded by contributions to the KU Endowment Association.
