Praise for teen

To the editor:

I’ve been reading and hearing of this disabled 15-year-old boy who has cerebral palsy who was beaten by six boys of 11 years to 15 years of age.

Now this is world news. And to think six boys would attack a disabled child. What kind of parents or upbringing have these youths had — bullying or smart aleck, no respect even for themselves?

I pray and hope not only the law but the people of Lawrence get behind this in full force regardless who the teens or parents are. The parents have to be people who have no care for themselves let alone others to raise children to be like this.

This child sounded like one who didn’t have pity for himself. He was going to show others despite his disability he was going on with a good life for himself. Praise him and his mother.

Olive M. Lewis,
