To the editor:

On Jan. 3, I entered Lawrence Memorial Hospital through the emergency department. I underwent major surgery on Jan. 17. After surgery, I spent time as a patient on second, third, and fourth floors for a total hospital stay of six weeks. What wonderful care! I did not have one bad experience. Nurses, therapists, all the hospital staff were wonderful. I then was transferred to Baldwin Care Center. I can’t say enough good for their care. Again, nursing, therapy, dietary staff were all excellent — just a great care center! I feel the communities of Lawrence and Baldwin are truly blessed to have these fine institutions fulfilling the needs of their residents.
