Police investigate report of missing underwear

A 20-year-old Lawrence woman says someone entered her home and took 24 pieces of her underwear.

The woman, who lives in the 1000 block of Alma Drive, told police the burglar might have entered the home through a sliding-glass door or an open garage door. The theft happened sometime between 10:30 a.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday, according to a report.

Police have no suspects but are canvassing the neighborhood for clues, said Sgt. Mike Pattrick, a police spokesman.
