The future of Larryville.com, a Lawrence Web site that is known for its lively local forum, seems uncertain.

Doug DuBois, site manager, posted a message on the forum late last week saying “By August 1, 2003, I will no longer manage the site.”

DuBois offered to consider leasing the domain name to an individual or group that would like to keep it going.

“If not, the site will be reduced in scope or simply shut down,” he wrote.

DuBois thanked those who have contributed to the site during the last six years.

“I do not come to this decision easily, but it is time for me to move on,” he wrote.
