Sports issue

To the editor:

After so many volleyball camps and private lessons, I’m learning that nepotism is alive and well.

Sometimes, the hardest-working athlete or the better athlete does not make the team merely because they don’t know the right person.

Knowing this, these student athletes that want to participate in sports have nowhere to go. The school need to bring back intramurals now!

This should be paid by the school system. Don’t mind raising taxes, for this will give these athletes something to do with their spare time. It also will get their confidence back and keep them out of trouble.

The school system needs to take this issue very seriously before we lose these kids.
