Several gunshots were fired early Wednesday at a house in the 300 block of Michigan Street, Lawrence Police said Thursday.

No one was injured in the incident that occurred about 2:45 a.m., Sgt. Mike Pattrick said. There were nine people in the residence at the time, he said.

Police were given a description of a car that left the area after the shooting. Officers saw a car matching that description a few minutes later and stopped it in the 100 block of Florida street, Pattrick said.

Police questioned five people in the car but no arrests were made and an investigation was continuing through this afternoon.
