Lawrence resident critical after crash
A Lawrence man was in critical condition late Saturday after suffering injuries in an accident in Osage County.
Stephen A. Shoemaker, 61, was transported to KU Med after his vehicle collided with one driven by William D. Grubham Jr., 46, Lecompton, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The report said Shoemaker was southbound on Topeka Boulevard and Grubham was westbound on U.S. Highway 56 when Shoemaker ran a stop sign and was struck in the side by Grubham. The accident occurred at 3:38 p.m.
Grubham was not injured in the accident.
