Careful choice
To the editor:
The Rev. Leo Barbee said it at the Bert Nash Summit last Saturday. “There is a divisiveness in our community that must be overcome.” Nowhere is this more evident than in the current races for city commission and school board.
The people who will represent us are chosen to make hundreds of decisions over the next two or four years. This should not and must not be a single-issue campaign. Choose your candidates wisely. Study their backgrounds and qualifications carefully, remembering that they should be chosen as individuals, not as a bloc or a group.
