Lawrence High senior Kyle McManness signed a letter of intent Friday to play baseball at Fort Scott Community College.

McManness, a three-year letter-winner, helped the Lions to an 18-7 record and a third-place state finish in 2002.

He batted .350, usually hitting leadoff or ninth in the order. McManness committed only two errors at second base, good for a fielding percentage of .944.
