Unjustified report

To the editor:

M.L. Norris’ response to Cheryl Sloan’s recent letter is unjustified. Mrs. Sloan was rightfully upset at a lack of factual reporting by both the reporting agency and the Journal-World. A correction was later printed (much after the fact) revealing that Ms. Nichols was ALONE in her vehicle. Whatever the cause of the accident, it is generally not reported in the briefs section in such a manner as this incident was. Only the facts of the matter should have been reported without speculation as to the cause. I have seen no other briefs with such a “light slant” placed on them. Ms. Nichols suffered extensive injuries in this accident and no accident should be treated with such disregard for any individual’s well-being.
