Free State High senior Ben Gray will sign a letter of intent this morning to play football at Washburn University next fall.

Gray, a 6-foot, 170-pound cornerback, started all 10 games for the Firebirds, who finished 7-3 last season. He intercepted three passes and returned one for a touchdown.

Gray was a second-team All-Sunflower League selection and holds team records in passes broken up for a season and career.
