Flying the flag
To the editor:
Just a comment to all the folks around the Lawrence area flying the U.S. flag.
If you are going to fly it, please fly it correctly. If you hang it, the union (stars) should always be to the viewer’s left. I am in the Kansas Army National Guard and served eight years active duty during Operation Just Cause, Desert Shield and Desert Storm. The Lawrence area is full of proud Americans; I see it every day. We just need to learn to fly our flags right, that’s all.
