Jayni stirs up Spanish tapas

Join “Jayni’s Kitchen” this week for “Making Spanish Tapas with Aurora Shields.”

Host Jayni Carey and Shields, Tecumseh, originally from Spain, will prepare the following recipes, which go with Spanish red wines, sherry or Manzanilla.

A new show debuts at 6:30 p.m. each Tuesday on Sunflower Broadband Channel 6. The show also is broadcast at 8:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday.

Racion de Chacina y Queso

Serrano ham, thinly sliced

Spanish chorizo, sliced

Manchego cheese, thinly sliced

membrillo (quince paste), sliced or cubed

Spanish olives stuffed with pimiento

toasted almonds

French baguette or ciabatta, sliced

Purchase the ingredients for the meat and cheese platter in desired amounts. Let the meats and cheese stand (covered) at room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving. When ready to serve, arrange ingredients on a platter and serve with baguette or ciabatta slices.
