State revenues ahead of projections for month
Topeka ? The state received $17.7 million more in revenues than expected in November.
According to figures from the Legislative Research Department, the state collected $304.6 million in general revenues during the month; the official estimate was $286.9 million.
TFrom the start of the fiscal year on July 1 through Nov. 30, the state collected $1.78 billion, compared to the $1.76 billion it expected.
But the Research Department’s report said, “It is important to remember that, generally, a comparison of just one month is not a reliable basis upon which to identify a trend.”
