State revenues ahead of projections for month

? The state received $17.7 million more in revenues than expected in November.

According to figures from the Legislative Research Department, the state collected $304.6 million in general revenues during the month; the official estimate was $286.9 million.

TFrom the start of the fiscal year on July 1 through Nov. 30, the state collected $1.78 billion, compared to the $1.76 billion it expected.

But the Research Department’s report said, “It is important to remember that, generally, a comparison of just one month is not a reliable basis upon which to identify a trend.”
