Degrading image
To the editor:
The ad a local furniture store has been placing in the Lawrence Journal-World depicting a subject as mentally handicapped with the statement of “With prices this low I must be stupid” is completely degrading. I cannot believe the Journal-World would allow such an ad in the paper. I called the store to tell them the ad was out of line and they told me if I had a problem to call the Journal-World; they did not have time to deal with me. I do not have time to shop at a store that would degrade someone or their inabilities.
