Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A 45-year-old Lawrence man reported the theft of a laptop computer valued at $2,000. The theft occurred between 8:30 a.m. Saturday and 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Lawrence, although the man also told police the computer may have been lost or misplaced.
  • A 20-year-old woman reported an auto burglary and theft of several items, including 260 compact discs valued at $2,600, two subwoofers valued at $260 and a subwoofer box valued at $180. Total losses were valued at $3,080. The theft occurred between 10 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of West 24th Street.
  • A 21-year-old Lawrence man reported the theft of a 1998 Honda valued at $6,000. The theft occurred between 1:30 a.m. Wednesday and 8 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of Monterey Way.
  • A 50-year-old Lawrence man reported the theft of several items, including a 2003 Chevrolet Impala valued at $20,000, golf clubs valued at $1,500, a Dell laptop computer valued at $800 and $2,000 in cash. Total losses were valued at $24,650. The theft occurred between 10 p.m. Wednesday and midnight Thursday in the 700 block of Massachusetts Street.
