Minority view

To the editor:

I read with interest the article titled “French TV crew discovers all Americans aren’t George Bush” in the April 23 edition of the Journal-World. If the 25 students in the KU class were “generally opposed to the war and sympathetic to French views,” I believe the class sample was skewed and did not represent the majority of America’s thinking.

Regarding stereotypes and presenting an accurate picture of the common feeling for the French, balance the student opinion with the average middle-aged American in Kansas or rural areas of Kansas. My belief is you will find the vast majority of Americans (Kansans) support our commander-in-chief, our troops and are less than enthusiastic about purchasing French products or sympathetic to the “French view.” Viva la America.
