Hadl as AD?

To the editor:

With the messy situation at the athletic department of Kansas University, we need to give strong consideration to John Hadl. He is a true Jayhawk legend, who has put in his time working his fund-raising magic for years. He is well-liked and a man of his word. We sure could use that right now.

Surround him with a bright young associate athletic director, who could be groomed for succession, and the department would stabilize and grow. Make sure he has a top-flight staff and he could concentrate on maintaining key relationships that have been so valuable to KU. There are no questions this is his dream job.

“Kansas athletic director John Hadl” has a nice sound to it.
