To the editor:

Holy moley. Coach Self hadn’t even been announced as the head coach and we’re reading “He was hesitant to leave. This is probably his last move…” (Tulsa head coach John Phillips, Journal-World, April 21). Granted, this is not a quote from Bill Self, but let’s not even go there.

We’ve just lived through a month of nightmares caused by a similar statement from Roy Williams. Let’s just enjoy the fact that Kansas University has a high-quality person stepping in to coach our men’s basketball team and see what transpires from there. Right now, I’m more interested in finding out if coach Self can dance. You’ve got to have Late Night and you’ve got to dance!
