Sad faces
To the editor:
Re: The sad faces at the loss of Roy Williams.
I am reminded of the story of Dumbo. He thought he had to have his feather to fly, like you seem to think you need Williams to score.
I think you all will find, as did Dumbo, that you need no feather (i.e., Williams) to “fly.” Your players still have their abilities. They won the games.
There are other Williamses in this world, maybe even better Williamses. Maybe right under your noses. Jayhawks, wipe away those sad faces; turn them instead to winning first places.
