Holladay support

To the editor:

I love Kansas University. My husband loves KU. We are both graduates of the university. Our youngest son also graduated from KU. Our son also played basketball for Jenks High School in Jenks, Okla., and his coach was Joe Holladay. We feel Coach Holladay was a very positive influence on the young man our son is today. We were impressed with his program, character and coaching ability. Needless to say, we were thrilled when he was selected to be an assistant coach at KU. He was a perfect fit for the perfect program.

Seems to me the best solution to the present situation is a smooth and positive transition. Who better to continue the Jayhawks’ quest for a national championship? The players know him, work hard for him and he is well-acquainted with the recruits. Holladay has spent far more time with the Kansas program than Bill Self ever did. Maybe my solution is simplistic, but I feel it’s the right one.
