24-hour period yields 3-plus inches of rain
As of 9 p.m. Saturday, Lawrence had received 3.25 inches of rain during the past 24 hours, according to the National Weather Service in Topeka.
The Weather Service said 2.93 inches had fallen since midnight.
In Lawrence, Skyhawk weather watcher Kenneth Blair recorded 1.84 inches of rain from 1 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday near Allen Fieldhouse. Bruce Stuckey measured 1.82 inches of rain Saturday at his southeast Lawrence home.
