Burglaries and thefts reported

A 1990 Nissan Stanza was taken sometime Monday night from the parking lot at SpringHill Suites by Marriott, No. 1 Riverfront Plaza. A 21-year-old Lawrence man reported the theft. Broken glass was found at the site where the car was parked, a Lawrence Police report said.

More than $2,400 worth of tools was taken from a van belonging to Bud Jennings Carpet One, 2851 Iowa, a Lawrence Police report said. The theft was reported Monday. Police said they believed someone reached through a wing window and opened the 1994 Dodge Ram Van.

A credit card taken from a 71-year-old Lawrence woman was used to buy more than $1,500 worth of merchandise from The Buckle, 805 Mass. Lawrence Police said they have four suspects they are trying to identify. The purchases were made Sept. 19.

A 37-year-old Lawrence man said he was knocked out when an acquaintance struck him with a club sometime between 3 p.m. and 9:16 p.m. Friday. The incident occurred in the 2200 block of Harper Street. The victim also told police $380 had been taken from his pocket.
