Passing blame

To the editor:

I would like to comment on the J-W article about Dr. Kristin Neuhaus’ abortion clinic closing.

I am just flabbergasted how she blames everyone but herself. So let’s look at some of the fingerpointing she did. “The political climate in Kansas is just dreadful, just barely better than Afghanistan.” Were you able to really say that with a straight face? Apparently you’re not up on world issues. Comparing Kansas politics and Afghanistan is like comparing burkas and mini-skirts.

Your statement: “They’re a bunch of hypocrites” that you’re sure many of theme have had abortions or have relatives who have had abortions. I am sure some of them have, but that does not make them hypocrites. Have you ever done something in your life that you truly regret to this day? Some of these people have made that mistake. They can’t undo it, but they sure can educate others about the consequences that come with making such a choice.

Finally, the statement about keeping an automatic pistol around the office in case she needed it. One pistol does not qualify you as a paramilitary operation. I believe you have missed your calling. As you apparently have such a flair for the dramatic, you should go into the performing arts and leave medicine to those that believe in doing no harm.
