Job unfinished
To the editor:
I keep reading about President Bush wanting to go back and invade Iraq. We cannot do it alone. In 1991, we had the cooperation of several countries including some Arab countries. We do not have that today. I served in the military in World War II and Korea, and I am proud to be an American. But I do not believe that our invading Iraq at this time is the correct thing to do.
Why in 1991 did we stop and pull out our forces? We had the Iraq army defeated and on the run. Why did we not finish the job? I am still wondering.
