Condition reports

Desiree White, 17, was in fair condition Sunday at Children’s Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Mo. She was taken there Saturday by LifeStar after a one-vehicle accident about 6:17 p.m. on U.S. Highway 56. The driver of the car, Tammie Torneden, 34, was treated and released at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Also transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital was Desiree’s sister, Ashley White, 11, who was thrown from the car. A spokesman for the hospital said Ashley was not admitted to the hospital and had no information concerning her condition. The sisters live in Pomona.

Troy A. Myers, 37, remained in critical condition Sunday at KU Med, Kansas City, Kan. He was taken there Friday by air ambulance after a rollover accident on County Road 1055 south of Lawrence.
