A quality event
To the editor:
On behalf of the Lawrence Horseshoe Club, I would like to thank the many retail businesses, the volunteers and the Journal-World for helping make this year’s state tournament at Broken Arrow Park a quality event.
The cooperation of everyone involved proved to be the key ingredient for success as Lawrence played host to the state meet for the first time since 1992.
A special thanks to the Journal-World sports department and to sports editor Chuck Woodling for his willingness to learn more about the excitement of tournament horseshoes.
