Bad judgment

To the editor:

The other day I saw some pictures in the Journal-World along with a story describing five students’ commitments to universities. They were tennis and basketball players. This morning I attended a signing party as well, I watched and applauded as my friend signed on for girls swimming; yet, the media was not there to take pictures. This was incredibly disappointing since other sports have gotten coverage for the same events. Does the Lawrence Journal-World think that girls swimming is less important? This reflects badly upon this newspaper and something should be done to make up for this error in judgement.
