Price to pay

To the editor:

I was in utter shock to read in the Nov. 19 paper that a city prosecutor will take a few days to decide weather to file charges in relation to the death of a 12-year-old dog that was mauled by two pit bulls. That is absolutely absurd and disheartening to think that a prosecutor would even need a second to make that decision! The owner should have to pay a hefty fine for negligence along with the grievance of the family that lost their precious pet. The owner needs to pay the price for their dogs’ actions.
