Wellsville ? The Kansas Department of Health and Environment announced that as of Nov. 8, Wellsville Manor Care Center, 304 W. Seventh St., could take new patients.

The department had prohibited new admissions because of deficiencies that significantly and adversely affected the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation at the facility. An Oct. 16 inspection found the facility was unable to provide needed meal assistance for one out of three sampled patients.

An inspection Nov. 8 showed that documented deficiencies had been corrected.
