To the editor:

I just wanted to say I do not think pit bulls should be allowed in the United States! You continually hear of people being harmed by these animals.

I believe there are enough varieties of other kinds of dogs – other than killer kinds of dogs – to satisfy anyone’s desire or need for a good, loving pet. I think it is terrible that we allow this threat to anybody who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. What about old people out walking – what chance do they have against these monsters?

I also think that training dogs to fight is awful. An article said people go and steal smaller animals they find and let these killer animals fight them to get revved up to fight each other. Of course they kill the little animal in the process. People that do this are sick.
