Burglaries and thefts reported

A 1993 Chevrolet Lumina valued at $1,500 was taken sometime Wednesday night from the 800 block of Illinois Street. A 44-year-old Lawrence man reported the incident to Lawrence Police.

Condition reports

Jason Barker, 19, remained in critical condition Saturday at KU Med, Kansas City, Kan. He was injured Wednesday night on Iowa Street near University Drive when his car struck the back of a touring bus.
