Condition reports
¢ Joshua I. Walton, 20, remained in good condition Tuesday at KU Med, Kansas City, Kan. He was injured Oct. 8 when his car collided head-on with a tractor-trailer on Kansas Highway 10 west of Eudora.
¢ Janis K. Curtis, 57, Topeka, was released Tuesday from KU Med. She was struck by a pickup truck Nov. 6 while walking across Seventh Street at New Hampshire Street.

Accidents
Two people were injured in a two-car accident Tuesday evening on U.S. Highway 24-40 about two miles east of Lawrence at the intersection of East 1675 Road. A 1999 Mazda driven by Marjorie Gillihan, 77, Lawrence, was northbound on East 1675 attempting to turn west onto the highway when it was struck by a 2002 Ford Focus that was eastbound on the highway. The driver of the Focus was identified by the Kansas Highway Patrol as Norman L. Thiessen, 64, Lawrence. Gillihan was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital by ambulance, and Thiessen went to the hospital by private vehicle. Their conditions weren’t available Tuesday night.

Law enforcement report
Burglaries and thefts reported
¢ A 21-year-old Lawrence woman reported someone broke into her Dodge Neon while it was parked in the garage at 1 Riverfront Plaza and stole a cell phone and other items totaling $422. The incident, which occurred between 10:30 p.m. Friday and midnight Saturday, caused $1,000 in damage to the car.
¢ A 50-year-old Kansas City, Mo., man reported someone stole his 1991 Dodge Shadow and a case of oil between 10 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Saturday. The car was parked in the 1300 block of West 24th Street. Total losses were reported at $1,027.
¢ A 75-year-old Lawrence man reported someone caused $1,000 in damage to his Pontiac Sunfire’s door and window while the car was parked in the 600 block of West 27th Place. The damage occurred between 1 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police reports
¢ A landlord told Lawrence Police a tenant caused $2,750 in damage at a rental house in the 2400 block of Winterbrook Drive. The landlord, a 42-year-old Lawrence man, said the tenant stained the carpets, caused damage to wood trim and damaged blinds.
¢ Police arrested a 28-year-old Lawrence man after a fight late Friday at Cactus Jones, 534 Frontier Road. Police said the suspect hit a 74-year-old Lawrence man after the man complained that the suspect was bothering other bar patrons.
