Lawrence commuter report

The following events and construction projects may affect commuter traffic this week in the region:

Kansas University men’s basketball vs. Washburn, 7 p.m. Tuesday, Allen Fieldhouse, KU campus.

KU football vs. Oklahoma State, 1 p.m. Saturday, Memorial Stadium, KU campus.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m. Sunday, Arrowhead Stadium.

Interstate 70, westbound from Turner Diagonal to 57th Street, inside lane will be closed.

Interstate 70, eastbound from 78th Street to State Line, will have lane restrictions.

Kansas Highway 32, on the Turner Bridge over the Kansas River, will have lane restrictions.

Kansas Highway 32, both directions at 88th Street, will have lane restrictions.

U.S. Highway 75, at U.S. Highway 24 interchange, lane restrictions and ramp closures for reconstruction.\


The following city construction projects may affect traffic this week:

21st Street, closed, Ousdahl Road to east of Naismith, for storm sewer improvements.

19th Terrace, 20th Street and 20th Terrace, periodical closure for storm sewer improvements.

Intersection of Ninth and Iowa, traffic interruptions for waterline installation.

West Fifth Street, California Street west to 1924 W. Fifth St., local traffic only on West Fifth Street.

Kansas Highway 10 at East Hills Drive, traffic limited to one lane each direction for road improvements.

31st Street, Ousdahl Road to Iowa Street, traffic reduced to one lane each direction for road improvements.

North Michigan, no through traffic north of the Woodcreek Town homes entrance to Riverridge Road, for road improvements.

Clinton Parkway at Lawrence Avenue, temporary traffic interruptions for traffic signal improvements.
