No science

To the editor:

John Simmons states that a hypothesis proposing a supernatural explanation is not science. That is a lie, and whoever told him that is a liar. Why he chooses to believe that lie is explained by Jehovah himself in Prov 17:4. The lie concerns the rules for knowing the truth, and is therefore particularly insidious, deeply wounding those who want to know what those rules truly are.

According to his biographer, J. M. Keynes, Isaac Newton, perhaps the greatest scientist of all time, spent the greater part of his career working on the hypothesis that the God Jehovah wrote the Bible, and signed his work with “Bible Codes.” Ivan Panin, Del Washburn, Doron Witztum and others have successfully followed up Newton’s efforts to test this hypothesis. (See Stat Sci, 1994 9:429) Many of the prayer researchers and those studying near-death phenomenon, also believed they were testing supernatural hypotheses. Jehovah himself says that we can do research on him and his promises. (Mal 3:10).

Peer review, on the other hand, is good-old-boy politics and has no place in the search for truth. I let philosophers of science and history judge my work. So far, so good.

Chastening is different from punishment. He chastens those he loves. But a comparison of the lives of those loyal and loving to Jehovah, with that of the louts who speak of his creation without giving him credit, would be interesting.
