Burglaries and thefts reported

A 21-year-old Kansas University student reported Monday that her 1999 Honda Civic was missing, according to a Lawrence Police report. It disappeared between midnight and 10 a.m. Monday. The car, which was taken from the 1400 block of Chelsea Place, was listed at a value of $12,000.

A chase Monday night that started in Franklin County ended near Eudora with a police car in the ditch and an injured officer, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. Details were scarce late Monday, but nearly 10 patrol cars and an ambulance were at the scene. The name of the injured officer was not available. Sheriff’s Lt. Kathy Tate said she thought the officer was with the Wellsville Police Department and had been transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
