LMH offers program on diabetes management
Lawrence Memorial Hospital and Bater Diagnostics are sponsoring “Know Your Numbers: A Better Guide to Diabetes Management” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 13 at the hospital, 325 Maine.
Pat Hohman, certified diabetes educator, will present the informational program. A light lunch will be available at no charge.
The class is free but advance registration is requested. To reserve a space, call 749-5800.
History Channel features Dole Institute director
The director of Kansas University’s Dole Institute of Politics will appear tonight on a History Channel program about presidential libraries.
Richard Norton Smith, who has directed libraries for Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, Herbert Hoover and Dwight Eisenhower, will appear on “Presidential Libraries with Roger Mudd,” which airs at 7 p.m. on the History Channel, Sunflower Broadband Channel 61.
Mudd also interviewed former presidents Jimmy Carter, George Bush and Bill Clinton for the show.
Smith also will appear Thursday on PBS’ “The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer” to discuss results of today’s election.
